What to Include in Your Inquiry

Include the following information when requesting a quote from a qualified supplier:

• Material specification — Product type (galvanized, cold rolled, HRPO, etc.) and ASTM specification if known
• Grade — CS, DS, SS, HSLAS, or the specific grade designation required
• Gauge — Thickness in decimal inches or gauge number
• Width — In inches, including tolerance if relevant
• Coating weight — For coated products (e.g., G60, G90, G210 for galvanized; AZ50, AZ55 for galvalume)
• Quantity — In pounds or tons, or number of coils
• Processing needed — Slit to width, specific coil OD/ID, packaging requirements
